We are extremely proud, and happy to announce our first instructor certification course at Living The Dream Divers. This is a highly personal and professional approach, design to offer the best environment for you to learn how to teach scuba diving.

Since we opened in 2010, it has been our ambition to create a world class IDC. This is now happening!! Become a PADI open water scuba instructor. We have partnered with one of the highest ranking course directors in America. Brian Rickman, who owns and operates a CDC center in Atlanta Georgia. Brian shares our vision, his years of instruction, attention to detail, and passion for the industry are a perfect fit. 

Our first IDC is October 2023. As you would expect this course is curated to offer the best learning environment. Small groups, personal instruction, and a guarantee you will have all the tools needed to be the best.

Maybe you want to help out at your local store,  take a year out to explore the world teaching scuba, or make a full time career as a PADI Instructor. Alternatively, you might just want to have the skills and knowledge that comes with graduating from the PADI instructor program.

We are offering special rates if you want to stay at Ocean Cabanas during the IDC. This will mean a fully immersive experience of learning. Classroom and in water training, followed by one on one relaxed learning as the sun sets.

To enroll on the course you need to be a : – 

PADI Divemaster who has been a certified diver for six months may enroll in the PADI Instructor Development Course. You also need:

  • At least 60 logged dives and 100 dives to attend an IE.
  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.
  • A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months

You also need to be an Emergency First Response instructor, but you can earn this rating during your instructor training.
